Queensland, Australia

Queensland is home to a variety of animal species and fauna, all making use of the ideal tropical climates. I was up there just recently hoping to photograph some spectacular sites, however Mother-nature decided to spit-the-dummy and send rain teeming down all over the South-East coast of Queensland! Trapped by ranging torrents and overcast for a couple of days there wasn’t alot to photograph! I now realise I had nothing to cry about as the waters have risen dramatically in the past weeks and continues to devastate the South-East regions of Queensland, but Australia and her people are resilient in all aspects of life and land and I have no doubts that they will bounce back in time! I hope you enjoy this small showcase of Queensland at its finest!

Road Photography

Roads are simple enough, a bit of tar and rock with a few white lines painted on top, but shown by the photographer’s exhibited here it is more than that. Photography is able to convey stories with more emotion than words and for some people the roads they travel are symbolic and representational of their lives! In many cases around the globe a person may travel a road their entire life going from point A to point B back and forth. I find it to be a fascinating aspect of our lives, but besides those thoughts enjoy these fantastic photographs and perhaps ponder the story behind the pixels!

May the road rise with you
